Does that happen with every wallpaper - have you tried others?

yes i have try all sorts of wallpapers to see if it works no good... don't no whats up with it.

Have you downloaded any advanced programs like tweak or things like that.
I have downloaded a program before just so I could make my icons transparent.

TweakUI springs to mind...

nope haven't used it...to make it go like that.

If you have it installed could you try and un-install it just to make sure that that isn't causing the problem. Will allow us to rule it out.

I don't have it install..i've had this problem since new year trying to sort it. I think if a colour is changed in display properties in appearance settings for desktop icon back ground colour its a big pain to get them back to being transparent desptop icons.
As windows don't let you have a choice in the settings.

Are they any programs to download and sort it?
