Welcome nixter.

It sounds like your sound card drivers have been deleted/uninstalled, would you be able to download and run Belarc Advisor so we can see what sound card you are running along with your OS.

Attach the information to the post for us.

I just posted about this same problem...though I know I deleted it by mistake ? Should I do this as well? I don't seem to get a picture though. I tried playing a video and it said it may be being used somewhere else, did that make sense?

C:\Program Files\Belarc\Advisor\System\tmp\(Default).html

Here are the results from Belarc.

Also, when I removed the device and tried to re-install it, it told me that something with the drivers wasnt right and I needed to upgrade? Did that make sense?

Hi Trinity,

Could you run Belarc Advisor again and this time when it displays your specs on the website could you click on FILE --- SAVE AS and under file type choose "Text file .txt"

Remember where you saved the file and then attach it to the forum in a new post.

I actually got it to work. I called Toshiba and they told me to go to their website to download the driver. I did that and I can play music now, the only thing that doesn't work is AIM. I don't hear any chimes when someone IMs me but its no biggie, the music was the most important. If you know how to fix AIM then could you please let me know but if not then thanks for answering back
