Default [Fixed] - Removing a NERO viewer

On a couple of occasions I have downloaded the free version of NERO. The time available on the last download has now expired. I have just come back from holiday and when I am trying to view my jpeg photos I keep getting a message that the Nero Snapshot viewer has expired.

How do I get it so that I can use the normal Windows Quick view? I have looked at the install/uninstall menus but cannot spot Quick View. Has the NERO download something to do that? I realise that I could download the Nero stuff again but to be honest I could do without the hassle.

So how can I get to see my holiday snaps?

Your help, as always, will be greatly appreciated.

Hengis;

Thanks for the response. Apologies for not replying sooner but I have been away for a few days. Following the information you pointed me to I have now got access to QUick view - but my computer is still trying to open via Nero as a default whenever I double click on a "jpg". Is there anything I can do to stop that default action?

Thanks again for your help.

If you follow this with any .jpg file it should sort the problem for you.

Associate a File Extension with a File Type
1. In Windows Explorer or My Computer, locate the file for which you want to create a file association.
2. Right-click the file, and then click Open With. If Open With is not an option, hold down the SHIFT key while right-clicking the file.

Open With should now be an option.
3. In the Open With dialog box, select the program that you want to use to open the file.
4. Click to select the Always use this program to open these files check box to make this the default program to open files with the same file-name extension.
5. Click OK.
