ok heres my story:
I bought world of warcraft, installed it, but when i tried to play it said there was no 3d acceleration detected, try updating your drivers. So, i went to ati's website and found the newest ones and downloaded them. now heres where things go wrong....right when it starts installing, i get an error message..."setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running setup." So i switched it to a standard vga driver and tried again. still got the same message. So, i decided to try some older drivers, but still the same error. AND i lost the cd that came with my video card so im stuck on 16 colors and 640x480 res....I even updated a bounc of other drivers, like my mobo, bios, etc etc and still the same error. please help!!!!!!!
i have the belarc advisor, so if anyone needs some info maybe to help let me know.

It sounds like are having driver issues with the vidoe card. Normally when you install a new video card, before you install the drivers, windows will automatically install it as a "Standard VGA Driver".
Are you using an onboard video card or have you added one. It sounds like you may have installed the wrong drivers for the video card, after looking around it seems that most people running that motherboard have a GeForce4 ti4600 128MB. (In theory it is onboard) Do you have the manual for your motherboard or the cd that came with it.

The video card I bought and installed myself, but it's fixed now. I reformatted my computer, and all the new drivers worked just fine. I probably had some virus or something, but I needed to clear the tons of junk on here off anyways. World of Warcraft works great, even though I have yet to play. No game stores around here are open on christmas, gotta wait till tomorrow to get one
