Hey Jim..long time....

Ok, so your PC was infected with the virus that you have identified. What you are seeing is probably the remnants of its "payload".

For the answer to this it would just refer you to the details I wrote in another post;

Right, on to your issue. Please go to the sticky post here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/modules.p...iewtopic&t=130 - download Hijack This! and then run it. Copy the report that you get and paste it in here as a new post.

Don't do anything else with Hijack This until you have posted the report and I (and possibly others) have looked at it.
Have a go and let us see the report

I just had another thought. :sign7:

If you are using ME (which I think you are...) then the virus is probably still resident in your System Resore (SR) function. If your System Restore is "on" then you need to turn it "off" - thus deleting all content in the SR folders (this doesn't matter cos u can re-do another SR point as soon as your system is clean).

Here's how to turn off SR in Windows ME. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...rc=sec_doc_nam
