    Hi all.
I have just installed windows 7, the message missing boot manager appeared, I googled it and tried to run the windows 7 installation disk again. The disk will not now load up. I have tried changing the bios to only load the cdrom, but still no luck. Can someone help?
    cheers

    Hi woey,

If the computer does not have RAID load BIOS defaults. Save and exit BIOS. Go back to BIOS and change the boot sequence to make the CD drive as the first boot device. Try to boot the computer using the Windows 7 disk. If it is a desktop that you have, try to reseat the power and data cable of the CD drive and check.

In order to help you further, please provide your computer system model.

    Hi woey,

Swap the SATA cable of the hard drive with the SATA cable of the CD drive and check. Reseating the CMOS battery on the motherboard too should help us. Also, if you have another CD drive, try to connect it to the computer and see if the same issue occurs.

I would like to know if you have tried to boot the computer using USB flash drive with Windows 7 in it. Use the following link for instructions to create Windows 7 USB Flash Drive from DVD Disc: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows...from-dvd-disc/

And if you install an IDE hard drive it should by default become master, unless the jumper on the hard drive is not set to slave.
