Hi guys

Heres hoping you guys can have with an issue I'm having.

I'm a newbie at Dreamweaver, I kind of know the basics but am studying the slightly more complicated stuff with a university course.

I have a problem tho. I've added a css div layer which I've given a background colour of black and changed the background colour of the page in general to grey (this is purely to make the layer stand out atm). And that is all I have on my page at the moment, simply because neither of those things are showing up in the design view/dual view, but they do show up in the preview in browser.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

I'm not a coder, so any building I will be doing is being done in design view, hence why I'm just completely lost.

It has been quite a while since I was designing websites, and the tools have changed dramatically.

However, it may be a limitation or shortcoming in DW that is causing your frustration, and not your coding. See here for comments from DW experts.

You may also want to take the suggestion of several sites, and make sure that you are running your coding through a checker, such as the ones listed on the DreamWeaver FAQ page.

I am sure that there are those in our community more intune with this particular program, than myself. Please post back and let us know if these sites helped at all, and whether you require more in depth assistance.
