Hi guys!

As my father is starting a business in selling Martial Arts equipment, clothing, accessoires, etc. I have build him a website.

I learned HTML, CSS and embedding pre-made JavaScript from the beginning through W3schools and other websites.

The website is up and running now and I would like some feedback on the webdesign, functionality, etc.

I know the part I'm linking to is in Dutch but this doesn't matter because text is not important.

I think it looks good. The white background contrasting with the black foreground didn't look right to me and the red field backgrounds in the forms were way too bright.

Overall a functional site - you may want to add a picture or graphic on the main page. The writing on its own is a bit bland.

I agree on the red it needs to be toned down.

Thanks for the feedback. It confirmed something I already suspected. The main colour is not black but something between black and brown (#292929).
I noticed that the problem lies in the different monitors an coloursettings of PC's. On my laptop for instance, it looks as it should but on a lot of monitors, yours including, (maybe it is the brightness) it looks black.
Same problem goes for the formfields.
edit: it too depends on the viewing angle to the monitor (in my case how for i 'bend' the display of my laptop). Too bad, i'll have to find a workaround or another colour

I totally agree, I do have a graphic on the main page but the webpages are designed for 1024x768 and more which means that the graphic is not to be seen when opening the webpage at 800x600 (you need to vertical scroll for it) or do you have a higher resolution than 800x600 and is the graphic not loading correctly? If so, could you post a screenshot so I can solve the possible problem?

My res is 1920 x 1600 - the graphic loads fine.

Hi I have a little bit of feedback for you - I hope you son't mind :-)

I clicked on the 'coming soon' picture and was taken to the coming soon page, then I clicked on HOME NL and nothing happened. It took me a while to realise that I needed to choose one of the options that came up on the bar below. I have found from experience that people like to go somewhere when they click and if they are not transported they click away!!!

I am not sure what 'Maak hier uw keuze:' means though......
