Smile Odd color quirk in IE7 and Firefox that others don't see. HELP!

The short and sweet:

When viewing a specific website (in IE7 and Firefox), others see a white background where I see it gray. Visit this page to get acquainted with the problem:

moviemistakes.com :: View topic - New Stuff

Note: It's possible, many moons ago, in an earlier version of IE, I chose to have IE ignore the site-specified background color and sub in gray (to save eyestrain when using my laptop in dim light). But in checking IE options, no such option seems to be activated.

Any clues?

This depends on wich IE you are using.

Click on tools/internet options and click on appearance colour button and adjust in there.It is at bottom on general tab.

But also this could be due to your monitor setup,try adjusting the actual monitor display on the monitor functions not on your windows settings.

It's IE7 and Firefox both showing the same. My IE settings were gray for background (default) but I changed that to white as a test, no effect. I checked display settings, but there's no option for background color.

It is there you uncheck or check box "Use windows colours" and then choose your won.

Your monitor has buttons or dials to change effects of the monitor.

I know, and changed it to white, but no effect. It's the monitor's settings that have no similar option.

Is the whole screen got a grey tint or just IE/Firefox?

Have you tried adjusting brightness on monitor?

So what you are saying it is only IE/Firefox webpages background that is grey?

Only the browser background is ...was gray. Now suddenly, changing no settings, the background is white. Very weird. Closed and opened IE and FF a few times now, and it's staying white. Perhaps we scared the gremlin away by accident?

Oh well. Thanks for the ideas anywayz.
