Default [Answered] joomla

I'm trying to install Joomla on my webserver but something is going wrong. To install, I'm following this guide:
Joomla Tutorials - Document details
Anyway, when I get to page 35 of the guide I have to open the file index.php on my server through the browser but something goes wrong. I know I have the adress right because the file opens in Firefox but only as code and not as it should look. In IE when I adress the file I get the question if I want to open it or save it but the file should open wich the UI in the browser...
This is the file:

home.planet.nl/~wijgm013/joomla/installation/index.php

How can I get the code to turn in the UI as it should do?

Thanks in advance

Hi Robman,

I was just looking at Joomla then went to refresh pchf and saw this - what a coincidence

I will be installing it on some webhosting probably within the next week, so if you don't get a reply by then i will see if i can help.

What control panel are you using ?

Hi Rob.
In firefox, go to home.planet.nl/~wijgm013/joomla/installation/index.php
Then go to file - Save page as and save it somewhere where you will remember.
Then go to open the file, and select to open it in Firefox.

That's quite some coincedence upgrader! I'll come back on your post later...

Cowburn199, thanks for the replay but the problem is that the file index.php should open in you browser when you adress it so I can install Joomla at the webserver. On this moment only the files of Joomla are on the server and not installed.
The way you say it the phpfile would open on my computer and would have no access to the files on the server..do you get what I'm trying to say

Robin
