Default don't know how to publish site

Hey,
I just started building my site using Nvu, and I published my site to my ftp address, and it published without any errors. However, when I went to my domain on a web browser, I didn't see any changes. If you guys are more familiar with Frontpage, I can switch to that and tell you how it works.

Thanks
