a friend told me about he made money off making a website for free and everything and the domain name was free and he made money off putting companies ads on his website and i was currently interested in doing this but im having trouble finding a site thats good for creating a website and getting a free domain name like .us.tp

Depends on the level of domain you want.

If you want www.mydomain.com I don't know anywhere that's free
if you want mysubdomain.someoneelse.com this is generally cheap/sometimes free
if you want www.someoneelse.com/mydomain this is normally the freebie which most people in australia get when they sign up for the internet.

You can get that kind of website from geocities and another couple of places.

And the ads idea is good...but it's limited...unless you get a specific company to sponsor you, you'll have to sign up to the ad programs which pay .05c / click on the ad itself. Then send you a cheque (some don't even follow through with the payment) to you.

i'd just contact your ISP and see if you have any free web space.
