Here I will be compiling a list of common computer certifications that you may see in peoples signatures around the forum or in other places. Please note that this is currently a work in progress and is NOT a list of all computer certifications, just the more common ones.

CompTIA A+ - Certification as a trained computer technician and support professional.

CompTIA Security+ - Certification as a trained security technician for servers and desktop computers.

CompTIA Network+ - Certification as a trained networking professional dealing with home and business networks and infrastructures.

Microsoft MVP - The "Microsoft: Most Valuable Professionals" are the top of the line users that are top of their field.

MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) - There are quite a few different catagories of this certification. In general, they are MCP meaning they are certified by Microsoft as professionals in their field.

I'd train in all these certifications for someone who's been there done that.
