TechTool 2

Make sure that you save the file. If you just run it without saving it, it will not run.

That link will always have the up-to-date copy of TechTool.

TechTool 2 is a system information/diagnostics tool. It is a stand-alone EXE file, so you don't have to install it. Just download, run and post.

If anyone used TechTool 1, for the record, the program was converted to a newer language and was re-written slightly to better compatibility.

If you recieve this error: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135)." then you will need to download and install the .NET Framework 2.0. You can get it here.

If any bugs are found, PLEASE report them either here or at the CPU Powers site in the TechTool forum (you can just click Online Support in TechTool).

You may also post suggestions and any other comments you have.

Canned message for use (feel free to use/edit):

Please download and save TechTool by Axephilic from here to your desktop.

Please run TechTool and click on Produce log.
Note: If you are using Vista, please right click on Tech Tool and select Run as administrator

Then, notepad will open with the log. Please press CTRL + A to select all and then CTRL + C to copy. Then paste (CTRL + V) the log into a reply.
