You could give either of these a try to test your Windows:

Please save and run the download. It will copy the results to your clipboard. Will you copy and paste them back here please.
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012
Please go HERE (Microsoft website) using Internet Explorer (not Firefox or any other browser as they won't work)
PC Help Forum.com - Computer Tech Support
Click on Windows Validation Assistant
Click on the Validate Now button.
Be patient while the ActiveX loads, do not click on any links.
Read the instructions on this page while it's loading. You will be prompted to install - click YES.
Enter your product key then click continue
When it says "Validation Complete" please click Continue to return to your previous activity
Copy what it says and paste it here.

And a very interesting tool MM, thanks for posting this.

Hmmm! I seem to have 2 Compro digital tv tuners in those fake pci slots. Or the third Compro tv tuner, or is it the Soundblaster Live 24 soundcard. Or the 4 USB ports. Hang on one slot left, the one next to the AGP slot, that had a temporary 56K moden in it once. 8)

Confused...
