Default Internet keeps cutting out

Hey all,

I'm using a cable broadband connection. For some reason, my internet randomly cuts out and I have to reboot the computer. I have run LSPFix, any other thoughts?

I would think it is to do with the ethernet port on your PC, i had the same kind of problem, cuts out occasionally when im on wireless, works forever on cable, so im thinking it could be drivers, and is your ethernet port integrated or in a pci card?

Hmm... Oddly enough it stopped when I ran Automatic Update (I had updates waiting)... Would that have something to do with it?

EDIT: Of course, immediately after having said that, it stopped... My Ubuntu download kept going, but I couldn't access web pages.

Doubtful...windows updates goes over Port 80 (default web traffic port) as far as i know...if it was a problem with that, then you wouldn't be able to get here either.

I'd say it was just coincidence that it happened at the same time.

I would try a firmware upgrade but I can't find the COM21 website. Anyone know it?
