Default can internet from xbox bypass a comp between xbox and router?

hi, i would just like to know if this is possble and if it is some tips as to how i can get it working please.

COMP1 connects to router - wire from router to COMP2 into on board motherboard network card. I installed a seperate network card into a pci slot and there is a wire ledaing from that to my xbox 360. i can stream media to my xbox360 and i can browse the internet but i cant seem to acces the internet on my xbox.

I used to have the xbox hard wired to router that is atteached to COMP1 and i could use the internet on the xbox but i was wondering is it possible to get the internet on my xbox.

it would have to do this by going into the pci network card then out the motherboard RJ45 and down to the router. is this possible? Below is a quick diagram of the arrangement:

[COMP1]-------[Router]----------------[COMP2]-----[xbox360]

Any help would be great

David

Hi Dayrowntree....

I'm not sure what settings are available on the xbox, but if you can set the default gateway to the ip address of the nic in COMP2 that is connected to the router, then it should work.
you'll also need to turn off firewalls, so it will allow traffic to pass through.

To be honest, it would be easier to get the xbox connected to the internet via wireless...and connect the cable to comp2 as it currently is
