If the data you're backing up is absolutely mission critical and valuable you may also want to invest in a tape backup system. These tend to be the most reliable for long term archival storage, the media is reuseable and the cartridges tend to give the best value per megabyte of storage. The drives on the other hand can be pricey.

It really depends on the capacity and speed. The drives tend to be around 200$ for low end but the cartridges vary very widley in price....heh heh i said vary very!
