Hi,
I'm not sure if anyone can help me, but I thought it's worth a try.
I have installed Outlook 2007 on my computer and have configured it with Hotmail and Gmail accounts of mine. It works perfect with Hotmail but I am having some problems with my Gmail account. It will work when my computer is on, however when I have turned my computer off and then turn it on again, any messages that were sent to my gmail account while my computer was turned of will not download to Outlook upon booting up. I know this should work because I have worked with Outlook before and it is working with Hotmail. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Sincerely,

Hi stcedale,
to be honest i don't like using webmail accounts with Outlook - never sits right with me and it's a fair bit slower. That being said, gmail should give you a support site of things once you log on. I don't use my gmail account so I'm not entirely sure. Maybe one of the other techs will have a fix for you.

Re-check your settings - apart from the actual server addresses (pop3 & smtp), the basic setup details should be very similar between hotmail and gmail. I would suggest you've either ticked an extra box or omitted a small amount of information in the config of the gmail account.
