I just installed my new SATA drive on my existing system. I have an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe MB. I connected my drive to the SATA1 port and booted up. The BIOS saw the drive and capacity correctly. Windows recognized new hardware and didn't report any problems. The drive can be found under the device manager. However, I can't see the drive in Windows explorer. Any ideas?
thanks

It maybe that it doesnt have a drive letter in Disk management so it wont show up. Go to Start > Run > type in diskmgmt.msc > press enter. If it shows in there but without a drive letter then follow these steps: Go back on Disk Management > Right-click the drive > Change Drive Letter and Paths > Change the letter. Then report back here. |
