Windows Visual Style Help!

Hey guys,

Anyone know whats going on here -

When i download a Visual Style and double click it, the Display Properties window opens, but it dos'nt show the preview of it in the properties window.

I had to format my pc anyway, so everything was complety wiped off, after i did this i downloaded a Visual Style but it still was'nt working.

The Visual Style i downloaded is called VistaCG, its just like the theme on windows vista, and I have had it on before but latley its just not working.

Before i formated my pc i downloaded a 'uxtheme.dll' file the replaced the one in the system folder with the one i downloaded with something called a Replacer, it said its safe, anyway i was just wondering if this has anything to do with it, but i cant see how because i have just formated and like i said its still not putting Visual Styles on.

Hope someone can make out what im saying and help me.

Hey Selwood!

That dll file can be a problem indeed.
Try replacing it with an original one:
