Hi KitKat,

Hi KitKat, do you have a Creative Labs Sound card or CF Card Reader on your PC?

sorry , i was away for 3 days with my university sports trip.

no, i do not have a CF card reader or a creative labs sound card. when i try to install a fresh windows xp now i get a pci.sys blue screen of death. I'm guessing that's cause i need sp 2 to recognize my pci express graphics card. i'm going to try either swap my hard drive to my friend who has agp graphics card and install xp , download sp2 and then swap it back over to mine. or find a windows xp sp 2 that i can install fresh on mine.

eh? What would installing XP from a friends PC accomplish? If you install XP on your HDD from another PC, if you have different PC's, then it's unlikely to work on your PC due to the difference in hardware. Why don't you have your own *lagit* copy of XP?

You don't have any other PCI cards installed in your PC? What graphics card are you using?
