iTunes/Windows Live Call

I've now managed to successfully run two sound cards (was a bit of a nightmare). I now wish to be able to use VOIP with Windows Live Call using my headset, whilst simultaneously play MP3s through iTunes and my stereo. Is this possible? I'm really struggling - keep getting the phone call sounds coming through stereo speakers etc.

Really confused, any help appreciated

Hi Campervanman,

(why is Rubberbandman playing through my head?) My welcome to PCHF. Have you verified that the audio options for Windows Live Call is showing the headset, and the general audio settings for the computer are showing the speakers?

If you aren't sure how to check that, just post back and we'll do a walk through.

Yeah I've tried setting my default sound card to one sound card in control panel. I have then selected the other sound card in the setup for Messenger and even gone through the audio tests and it works OK. However it is when I use the service that it all goes to pot!

Any ideas?

Me? Oh I've ALWAYS got ideas. Question is will they work, lol.

OK, if you were to get on a WL session, you have your mic working perfectly, then you turn on your music, what happens?
