yessir-- but what you are missing is that anything that runs on Windows NT/Windows 2000--will most often also run on XP, they are so similar in basic structure (the kernel -- or basis of the operating systems are almost identitcal)... and that there are patches availble JUST FOR Win XP--so it has to be compatible... therefore it is something else causing these issues.

Here is the temperatures and the voltages. I have also tested my GFX card temp and thats a stable 58 with nothing running, havent got round to testing it in game as my comp usually crashes.

And.. UT99 IS compatible with XP because i used to play it, and have been for over 5 years :')

I did a test with dxdiag.exe in system 32 and it said it was working perfectly (Direct X 9.0c) is this program accurate?

Thanks again guys

dxdiag is pretty accurate afaik...

did you reinstall the driver for that webcam? you could try going into device mgr/look for that yellow exclamation point-- open that and click uninstall. Then reboot. Windows SHOULD come up with "found new hardware" wizard--then just plug in the CD and follow the prompts to install the drivers. Sometimes the driver files don't install correctly (for whatever reason) and removing/reinstalling the hardware will fix it. I would temporarily disable your AntiVirus before installing sometimes they will interfere with correct install.

Sorry 'bout the long wait-- it was a busy day. If it works or not please-- let us know.

i'm going to reinstall XP again 2morro and only plug the basics in and reinstall my mobo and gfx and battlefield 2 and see if it works then, if not im going to buy a new GFX card..

I'm looking at the Geforce 7800 GS+ the card looks awesome, far better then any other AGP cards i can see..

If anyone has any other suggestions or AGP cards they know about, feel free to shoot them my direction.

I'll let you know how the install goes 2morro :')
