Hm.. your first error is usually associated with Windows 2000 - it's strange that XP would have it. You might want to quickly browse this article by Microsoft to see if you can get any more information (by the way, that article is meant for Windows 2000).

As for the second error, do you have any software like Norton Internet Security? If so, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. That could be the issue. Also, try this article, outlining another fix for that type of error.

If all else fails, try this forum. They seem to have several other fix attempts at this second error.

Hope some of this helps and doesn't confuse you! Please let us know if any of this fixes your error!

What does it say for the first under "description" if you rightclick it and select properties? Could be plenty of things but if we know the error code it might be listed here:

http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?e...ce=Srv&phase=1

And the second is caused by Mcafee , but i wouldn't worry about it.

Also these can be fixed with hjt , but nothing serious:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = about:blank
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O16 - DPF: {E856B973-45FD-4559-8F82-EAB539144667} (Dell PC Checkup Installer Control) -

But the problem you have sounds like it could be a heat issue , have a look with this app to see what the tempertures of youre pc are and report back the result.

Also have a look if all the fans still work and if there isn't alot of dust inside the pc.

Didn't it say anything in the "description" box above that?

And is that 91-93 in celsius or fahrenheit? If it is celsius then we found the cause of the problem i think.

In the continuing saga of trouble, last night I discovered that my date on my computer was wrong, it said it was October , Saturday 14th.....then I had to shut my computer down because literally hundreds of Internet Explorer boxes kept popping up....

Im about ready to just reinstall windows, this system is whacky...
