When I hit the Start button and then click Shutdown, my computers hangs for a few minutes before I get the Selection menu. Have tried various Power Option without success. Any suggestion?

I cannot get a successful download for minitoolbox. Get a message that it cannot change the contents of that folder. I changed the properties of the download folder to allow for 'All" but that did not work.

Have you ran the AVG removal tool yet AVG sometimes will not allow the installation of minitoolbox.

Edit: You could also just save minitool-box to your desktop.

If you are un-able to get minitoolbox to run then get me the uninstall list from Ccleaner.

Open ccleaner hit the tools button uninstall then in the bottom right hand corner of ccleaner hit save to text file.Save it to your desktop and post the uninstall.txt here in your next reply.

I resolved the problem by uninstalling approximately 30 applications that were rarely used.

So if there is nothing more then shall I mark this as solved?
On a side note you should really remove that garbage AVG from your machine.
