May i know would a wireless mouse(USB) work with a PS/2 port? The situation is this: i have a colleague who wants to use his usb wireless mouse in office, but all the usb ports are blocked less the legacy ports - which leaves us with PS/2. Would it be possible to operate the wireless mouse (plug & play) with a usb-to-ps/2 adapter? That would be excluding the fact the driver is not installed. Hope to clear this air of doubt thank you.

I can't see this being possible as you'd need an RF to PS2 adaptor but I'm open to offers by the other members on this.

It might be possible. It's worth a shot, as USB-PS/2 Adaptors are dirt cheap and fairly abundant.

I'll try that out and let you know as soon as I find a usb to ps2 adapter. I have like 5 if them and now all of the sudden I cant find any of them.

Update: Found one, yep it works. All you need to do is plug the wireless antenna into the usb to ps2 adapter and then in to the ps2 port on the computer. Now on to seeing if it will work with a wireless keyboard/mouse combo (both use a single antenna), maybe I don't need to shell out for a usb KVM switch instead of using my old ps2 one.

Update 2: Damn, doesn't work with the k/m combo and a ps2 KVM switch. It was worth a try though.

If you may you can use a Multiple USB Device that will allow you to have an extra usb space for your wireless mouse and other related usb devices..

    Hope I don't interfere:mrgreen:
