    Hi.
    I have a Acer Aspire E380 desktop.
A year ago I had a major crash and installed XP home. (I have tried 7 and hate it.)
    My problem is.
Before that crash it had Window XP Media Center E2005.
I thought everything was deleted in the major breakdown but for a few days ago when I was going to change some of the partitions, I discovered that there was a partition named PQService and it's intact.
Presumably, there is a copy of the original Windows XP there.
I'm not interested to make any recovery but to create a bootable CD of the original XP. (I have the software key .)
Anyone who know how to copy the Windows software from PQService?:?

Yes online24 but you will find the procedure similar. You will most likely find what you need on the Acer support site.

Unfortunately it's not quite right. You finds almost everything there except that info.
I have been in contact with Acer in Norway. (A negative experience.)
What they say is "Buy our rescue CD ($ 120) and it maybe it will rescue your Windows. But we will not guarantee it."
I borrow an old rescue CD from a friend and got an error message after 5 min. Probably because I have changed the original partitions.
But I've read that there is a chance to copy the original software (XP) from PQservice but unfortunately I forgot where I read it.
    So I repeat my request.
I am searching for a way to copy the Windows XP from PQservice and eventually create a bottable DVD with Windows XP. (Not rescue all)

Unfortunately the PQservice partition is compressed and the only way to access it is thru Acer's eRecovery Management application.:)
