Ok guys, here I am again with another issue - this one a weird one not why its doing it.

I get a box in the upper left hand corner of my desktop - its only on my desktop and if anything for example fire-fox browser or Steam loads up and then I minize them like a "screenshot" of it stays there.

Sure, here it is - some time yesterday it stop doing it - but I think it may be directed towards Firefox 3.5 since I started notice it after installing that - but it does not go away if I close firefox.

This sometimes happens when applications crash, but it shouldn't stay there all the time. I assume you have tried restarting the PC?

Aye - restarting makes it go away, and it goes away on its own - but I don't recall anything crashing. It seems to happen when I open up firefox 3.5 - stays there for a bit then goes away. Then when it goes away doesn't seem to come back.

I would guess that it's some bug in the new release of firefox. You could try disabling addons in firefox and testing or just wait for an update. I expect others are experiencing the same problem.

Ok Upgrader I found something very interesting today - now it could be a combination of the two but - When I close and exist "Steam" by Valve the box goes away. So may not be fire-fox at all.

Hmmm, I've never had any problems like that myself with Steam. I'll refer this thread to another member of staff to see if they can help you :)

Somtimes when I am on steam, and somone chats to me, just before the chat box appears I get a white flash in the top left corner. Not a box though, so it might be related in some way to steam.

    , jake :)

I am thinking its a combination of Steam and fire-fox - as I said if I close steam it goes away - so I am actualyl not to bothered by it anymore.
