I recently moved and upgraded to a faster network speed 20/down 5/up, since upgrading I've noticed that my internet cuts out frequently. Century Link tech support accessed the modem and mentioned line quality issues, they tried to push some sort of updates to the modem but that did not resolve the issue. They sent out a tech and he removed a "bridged" connection on the box outside and said the bridge was interfering with line quality, satisfied he left. A few hours after he left the issue resumed. I'm noticing a large number of modem retrains and loss of signal link failures. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Below you can find the WAN status, and a network diagnostic.

Re: Modem Retrains, LOS Link Failures, Dropping Internet Connecti

Welcome to the forum. If its the modem dropping the line then its nothing to do with the pc its a line fault. Is this a new upgrade as most systems for the first few days do drop as the exchange trys to get the best speed with a stable line. Dropping the speed gives a more reliable connection

Sorry for the delayed response. I think Samuria had it right, after several days, and several hundred retrains and signal failures the issues stopped. I greatly appreciate everyone's help on this! I think we can mark this one as solved.
