Adobe Flash player had been working up until recently. Now in the last day or two it stopped and I get a message something like "This site requires at least version x of Flash. Please update."

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Flash Player and reinstalled version 10.2.159.1 several times.

I have Windows 7 64 bit. Flash does not work in IE 9 64 bit or IE9 32 bit. Nor does it work in Firefox.

It is important that you have the latest version.
Uninstalling an older version must be done the correct way.

    * Uninstall using the appropriate uninstall tool.

Make sure you have no windows open as you uninstall Flash.
Exit all applications: Check the task bar and the system tray to make sure no user applications are running. For example, if you see icons for browsers or instant messaging (IM) clients such as AOL Instant Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger, right-click the icon and select either Close or Exit.

    Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

    * Download new version.
Untick the free Google toolbar if you don't want it.
Note different install for Firefox, Chrome etc.

Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player

*Test that you have indeed installed it properly.

    Find Flash Player version

    *Support.

    Hope that helps.
Let us know how it goes please.

Thanks much. That worked. Flash is now working.

I followed the instructions and then Flash worked in both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions of IE9. But it did not work in Firefox. I then did the "Install a different version.." and installed the non IE version.

It now works in IE and Firefox.

    :)
