I have an odd issue after installing Windows 7 which never happened in XP. Streaming flash video is very choppy and lags constantly, EXCEPT when I'm moving my mouse cursor. If I rapidly move it in constant motion the video/stream is seamless. I cannot find anything through search. Using a fresh Flash install, Win7 32, Pentium 4 3.2, and a Radeon HD 4650 agp card. 2.5g memory as well. Any ideas? I'm getting the same results with hardware acceleration on or off.

The real troubleshooting can begin then. Thanks!

That is odd... I don't see anything in your specs to indicate that your system should have problems with Win 7.

Couple more questions for you - which browser do you use for your streaming? Is it possible that you might try a different browser? Are the issues the same?
Have you tried a different mouse?

I am using FF 3.6.13 The issue is not quite as bad in IE but I can't stand using it. I will try a different mouse and post the results. There wouldn't happen to be any sort of feature you know of in W7 reducing resources when there is no mouse movement would there?

    Apologies for the delay, Dissonant03.

I'm sorry, but I'm not up on Windows 7 oddities yet. Any luck with an alternate mouse?

I appreciate any help given especially since it's voluntary assistance. Everyone is very kind here and that is rare on the present-day web. No luck with a different mouse; it gives the same behavior. I've tried different drivers as well while I've been troubleshooting this and no difference with any of it. This one's got me stumped lol >_<

My apologies also Dissonant. I've been away on vacation since my last post to you.

Ummm, no difference with a different mouse. What are you using to play the video? Maybe we could check things out with the player?
