    Hello
    My computer keeps freezing or locking up.
    everything locks up and most times i have to hard reboot my computer. the few times it unfreezes my frame rate drops.
    I thought it had something to do with my graphics card, since it seems to happen not to long after i switch from my tv speakers (which audio goes through my graphics card) to my headphones.
    Or when more then one thing is playing sound at the same time.
    it only seems to happen with chrome or this one game (the Incredible adventures of val hellsing)

    I attached CPU-Z files and RAMMon file.
    I cant remember how to get a Memory dump file or i would have added that aswell.

    Im using
    Windows 7 home Premium 64bit
    Intel core i5-2500k cpu 3.30GHz
    graphic card : Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti

    if you need anymore info or can tell me how to make a memory dump let me know

    • Un-tick all that remain.Hit Apply and Ok your way out of there.
    • Then reboot the machine,into normal mode and see how it responds from there.
    • Let me know the outcome then I post with instructions that are most relevant to your situation''

    if it doesnt then i will do one before i play that game again and let you know how it goes

    No it does not un install anything it just turns off all non micro soft items to determine if one of the applications you have running at start up is causing issues with your machine.

    Download Zoek (By Smeenk) and save that file to your Desktop.
    http://www.hijackthi...220813/zoek.zip

    Disable your antivirus prior to running this scan or even downloading Zoek.

    Double click zip file and extract to your Desktop:

    Copy the lines inside CodeBox:

    Code:

    resethosts;
    shortcutfix;
    emptyclsid;
    firefoxlook;
    FFdefaults;
    Chromelook;
    CHRdefaults;
    autoclean;
    iedefaults;
    ipconfig /flushdns >> %temp%\log.txt;b

    Right click on any white part of Zoek and select the paste option.

    Click the button [Run Script]

    The program will most likely request a reboot please do so.

    Wait for the scan. At the end of the report will be generated C: \ zoek-results.txt

    Reverse the clean boot the see below.

    Attach the logs here by hitting the upload a file button when replying to your thread. :D

    Step 1:

    I suggest that you download CCLEANER then run it, hit the option's button then settings,put a tick next to Run Ccleaner when the computer starts.
    Also when in options go to advanced tab and put a tick next to close program after cleaning.
    This will automate the temporary file removal on your machine and keep it speedy.
    Disable all of the start ups on the machine except your antivirus.
    To disable hit the tools button then the start up button,then disable.

    Step 2:

    Please download Junkware Removal Tool and save it on your desktop.
    • Shut down your anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, right-click it and select Run as administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Please attach the JRT log.
    Step-3:

    Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
    • Close all open programs and internet browsers.
    • Double click on adwcleaner.exe to run the tool.
    • Click on Scan button.
    • When the scan has finished click on Clean button.
    • Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart.
    • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
    • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[S1].txt as well.

    Step 4:

    Please download MINITOOLBOX and run it.

    Checkmark following boxes:

    Flush DNS
    Reset FF proxy Settings
    Reset Ie Proxy Settings
    Report IE Proxy Settings
    Report FF Proxy Settings
    List content of Hosts
    List IP configuration
    List Winsock Entries
    List last 10 Event Viewer log
    List Installed Programs
    List Users, Partitions and Memory size
    List Devices (problems only)

    Click Go and post the result.

    Step 5:

    Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
    • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
    • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
    • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
    • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
    • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
    • When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
    • Post the log back here.
    Step 6:

    Please click HERE to download HijackThis!

    • Double click and run the installer.
    • After installing, you should get the user agreement, press accept and Hijack This will run.
    • Select Do a system scan and save a log file. This will open a notepad file of everything Hijack This found, Attach it back here.

    Reverse the clean boot

    You only need your antivirus and ccleaner in the start up, but you need to re-enable all of your services.

    Reboot after and post a new hijack this log after.

    You are having a bit of dns time out we will deal with that in a bit.

    How is your machine running otherwise?
