I wonder if McAfee or Symantec is causing the problem. You have both running, even if you're not aware of it.

Remove McAfee with this tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Remove Norton with this tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

Install Microsoft Security Essentials for the time being.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if McAfee was involved. I will try to remove it - although they have it pretty much locked down from removal.
Didn't think about Symantec. Will let you know how I make out.

I've uninstalled Symantec and so far that appeared to have stopped the BSOD. I'm attempting a reinstall to see what happens.:D I will be trying this on several other pcs that have the same problem. and if need be, i'll post their dump files.
Thanks for the help. I'm sure I'll be back for more.

    Thanks for the report Tracy!

I'll file this one away as Symantec I guess.
