Question Lavasoft Ad-Aware 2009 Pro 8.0.7 - Question

Hi all. Question: If I run a selective/costume scan with Lavasoft Ad-Aware 2009 Pro 8.0.7, meaning - If I don't run a FULL SCAN option in there, but I do a costume scan, and I run a scan of only one of my drive, will it pick everything up from that drive still?? I will browse through sites where they will leave a bunch of stuff (same thing same as when you browse some adult site), if I don't scan my computer, it will crush it with time. I have "C:" drive and "D:" drives, one is 205G and the other is 260G. The smaller one is the one where Windows is installed, and that is the drive I want to scan. So if I do a selective scan, and scan only the drive where my Windows is (C: ), will that work?? If I do a full scan, it takes about 40-45 minutes to scan, but if I scan only my C: drive, about half of that time (a bit less really). So can I only scan the drive where Windows is installed to pick all of the **** left by websites up?

Thank You People!

Ilya,

Yes. That sounds logical to me. The directories in question are:

C:\Program Files\(whatever your browser is) and C:\Windows\Temp

But, Malware has a habit of not just affecting System Files, etc. So, I would scan the entire drive just to be sure.

But the junk left over from all kinds of sites, is it "malware"? How about if I do the exact same thing only with "Malwarebytes"??

Not necessarally. It could potentially be. No matter the program you use the setup will have to be the same

What is better for this purpose?? I want "Real-Time" monitoring as Ad-Watch or Malwarebytes does.
