Spyware / AdWare - connections bombed posted in the Security & Safety forums; hi, im having a HUGE problem... i have installed peer guardian 2 on my pc cause i like to know whats connecting to my pc and for about 1 hour ...

Exclamation connections bombed

hi, im having a HUGE problem...
i have installed peer guardian 2 on my pc cause i like to know whats connecting to my pc and for about 1 hour ago it went haywire.
its showing me that i get over 1000 connections to my pc every min and its killing my internet...
took me 20 min just to get to this page
the ip's are all protocoled ICMP and most of them are from KDIS from netherlands and us postal service and Eli lily and company and OITA prefeturel something..... those ip's are really bombing me and idk why
pls help me it's totaly ruining my (cable) internet and my wireless...

Hello Flam3, welcome back to PCHF!

If you could click the prework link in my signature and follow all the instructions then post the corresponding logs that would be great!

We can then have a security expert come take a look at your logs for you

just fixed it.... it was some kind of trojan that had infected my svchost... but anyway i'd like to know what that kind of protocol does.... never seen it before i tryed google it but i didnt get anything it was in kind of advaned computer lang :P...and im wondring why it tryed connecting to us postal service and other companys in itally and netherlands

Flam3,

I would like to repeat SmokeyCheech's suggestion that you consider stepping through the PreWork document for a complete PCHF analysis of your system and possible malware. Often there are malware infections that are not caught by the untrained eye.
