Sorry in advance for probably using the wrong forum, the wrong terminology etc. etc.
Basically, I've got Prevx 2.0 loaded (Windows XP). For a week or two now, Prevx starts a process scan - "Analayzing running programs..." - automatically every time I switch the PC on. This can take up to an hour, and brings all applications to a stand still. I'm sure this is typical.
Howver, when the scan finally finishes, it comes up with 4 malicious malware items in the jail. Code red and all that. Ok that's fine. But when I go to clean up, the window opens saying "Prevx 2.0 is analyzing and cleaning up. Please wait..." but nothing happens. Progress (ie. 0-100% completed) remains at 0. I've tried leaving it for huge amounts of time, I've made sure the internet connection is fine, I've made sure no programs are running etc.
Is there a way to get this jail emptied without the Prevx cleanup thing stalling on me? I can't even Abort the program.
I'm presuming that the Prevx scan runs automatically on every start up because these malicious files are there. But it's already done a scan, and I can't act on its results because it freezes when I ask it to go ahead and do a cleanup
Argghhh! Please help
