Hi Guys,

My girlfriends Desktop, that her family uses, has been infected by a Trojan, and it seems to be related to AntiSpywareShield. AVG is telling her that she needs to upgrade to 8.0 but it is asking her to pay for it....

My questions:
1) are there any good removal instructions for AntiSpywareShield? she cant seem to uninstall it.
2) if we download the 8.0 version of AVG, will it upgrade her existing installation and will we be able to remove any Trojans that are on her PC? I don';t know the exact name of the Trojan.

well she decided to just format and restore windows.

any suggestions on apps to install on the PC to help from this happening again.

(AVG, a spyware remover,...)

Luckily AVG 8 comes with a spyware tool also (free) now
