Smile [Answered] what spyware scan

Hi,
My computer recenly started running quite slowly and thought it would be a good idea to scan my pc for spyware malware etc. i began to browse for spyware scanners and a few come recomended. Firstly i installed Stopzilla and begun a scan but continued to do my homework and found many threads on numerous sites sayin not worth the time. then done the same with Max secure spyware same thing many people saying not worth the time and can remove core system programs. Its very irratating to see these programs advertised by such well know sites! well i guess thats another story.

in the short. What (prefferbly free) scanner should i download to solve my problem?

Any help would be great!

Cheers

you can use that one whenever you like for free,
when opening page click on try new version (6.6)
they do various paid packages as well which is worth considering for peace of mind

Unfortunately the bugs are constantly changing due to people who thinks it's fun to bother others.

The best defense is to make it a regular habit to clean things out.
I use several scanners... sometimes one will catch what the other misses.

AdAware/Spybot
run regular AV scans--
both installed and online (for "insurance")

Spyware Blaster is also helpful--helps block the stuff before you get it.
SpywareBlaster
