I use about:config for firefox tweaking

I use Opera

It's good to go 'out of the box' so to speak, after installing Firefox I have to load several plugins to get it how I like, which in turn slows it down. Opera already has those functionalities I like integrated in a default install, plus I believe it to be the quicker of the two. Either's good though, try them and see what you think. It's a personal preference at the end of the day.

Although, the tests clearly show that Opera is king j/k
