Hey, I'm having trouble uninstalling AVG. I recently restored my PC to a restore point I made a day ago. When I boot up I get an error message saying AVG can't intialise. Decided to uninstall it and when I select it from the add/remove list I get this...

'Installation failed

1 error occured, click details to find out more'

Upon clickibng details I get

'Installer initialization failed due to the following error:
Undefined error: Initialization of the setup data file failed.
Opening of the setup data file "C" failed.
No such file or directory'

Hi Bugsey - Thanks for the link. I've tried to do as it says but everytime I do I get the same message as above. It's as if it wont even let me access the program anymore.

Hmm seems as though part of AVG is damaged, could you try repairing it? Then uninstalling.
