Hi mojonelo1,
Welcome to PCHF .

Mojo from what I am reading this has something to do with Windows Messenger Services.

Click on the link below this will explain to you on how to disable messenger service, if that does not work could you post back and if need be I will ask you to do the Prework below in my signature and one of the Security Team will look at any reports.

Try the link first

Mojonelo, disabling of Windows services may help, but is ultimately not the solution.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Glad we could help mojonelo1

In respect to free firewall, have a read of this link it may be of interest to you in regards to users opinions on various free firewalls.

http://www.pchelpforum.com/firewalls...-firewall.html

There are many out there you could use and owing to that not being one of my areas I could only recommend Zone Alarm as I use this personally. Once ( like any firewall) you have gone through the pop up process of allowing this and that it has not given me any trouble.
Some are free trials, lasting 30 days or so,I downloaded various free versions and tried them out and ended up with Zone Alarm.
Other people will probably have their own preferences for free firewalls, thats about all I can give you in that area mojo.Sorry hope that helps you out some.

Link to Zone Alarm below, basic zone alarm download is at bottom of page.

ZoneAlarm by Check Point - Award winning PC Protection, Antivirus, Firewall, Anti-Spyware, Identity Protection, and much more.

Note: Please follow Chiaz's instruction.Thank you Chiaz.

Good Luck

Thank you
