hey chaiz,

it worked !!!!!!!!! and no more painful pop ups. Thanks a million.

I also managed to install a corrupted version of window xp home edition 2003.So when the computer boots up, it keeps asking for my option and default is to the home edition.
Help me with this too please.I want to get rid of the home edition.

Thanks again

regards

If you want to set the operating system that you want to use as the default one, you can do this.
1) Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click System.
2) On the Advanced tab, under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
3) Under System startup, in the Default operating system list, click the operating system that you want to start (XP Home Edition in this case) when you turn on or restart your computer.
4) Select the Display list of operating systems for check box, and then type the number of seconds for which you want the list displayed before the default operating system starts automatically.

But if you really wish to remove Windows XP Pro, you will have to provide me with more information. Did you install both operating systems on the same hard disk? Have you tried removing it, but still got the option when you boot the computer?
