Default Spyware Terminator=?

I used to use Spyware Terminator till I read about it being affiliated with Adware companys, but I did like how Spyware Terminator was a good program and completely free.

So I am wondering if I try it again, will it be fine? Or is there hidden problems in it somewhere?

(I heard ClamAV had a bad reputation as well, and that comes with spyware terminator (optionally))

I'm not sure about all the "I read about it being affiliated with Adware companys" but I doubt it. Personally, I don't use it. I use AdAware 2007, AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware and they are all free. Links for those are below.

AVG Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware
AdAware 2007

Good luck,
Adam

Yes, SpywareTerminator was previous affilated with IBIS, a notorious distributor of adware programs such as WinTools, WebSearch and Huntbar. However, the vendor had announced that it was exiting the adware business. So far, research on the product and its vendor's behaviour has warranted no serious problems.

Here's a very enriching discussion (with a little spice):

ClamAV is a free open-source anti-virus product, and it's widely-used. And yes, Spyware Terminator has an option to install ClamAV as well, I see no problems with that.

Thank you kindly for your reassuring advice concerning the use of spyware terminator/ clam a/v. I've been using it for sometime now and I was rushing when seeing it as a possible rougue program until I read your opinion.

thanks
