can any one help me please the trouble is that i had a trojan virus called maximus now when i came to disiinfect it with my virgin anti virus it would not disinfect all it would do was to delete the trojan what i want to know is have the trojan gone from my pc completely thank you harrylime

i have got windowa xp with the virgin pc guard about 4 days ago i found i had a trojan virus the scanner was unable to disinfect the trojan but instead it deleted the virus
now what i would like to know is that is my pc safe the said virus is ;listed in my folders when i searched for it so i am not sure iff i am safe please can you help mr thank you harry
