QuickTime has been there all the time so I'm not sure that it has anything to do with the "No Disk" messages I'm getting with my Anti Spyware programs
.
It is just these apps that you have issues with?? Or are you having say...boot issues/issues with other apps/sudden dropouts of programs, too?
Yessir that was off-topic, sorry. I just have had issues with that app since my first use of it. Very invasive & annoying in my opinion.
Which was why Bugsey's post did not surprise me.
Do you have a disc copy of your anti-spyware (it was avg?)-- or was it downloaded. Paid or free? Reason I ask is that the 1st thing I would do is try a fresh install of that app if possible.
If it is a paid version, be sure to get your license/registration number before uninstalling. You must have it to reinstall.
Even anti-spyware/antivirus apps can become corrupted... it really takes very little-- all there must be is a power-"flicker" at just the right moment, or an update file being corrupted on download. If it contains an update to the program itself-- it corrupts a critical file in the app itself and poof-- no good.
