Default [Answered] avg spyware is causing with aol loading

Have recently installed avg.Ever since my aol page is not loading imediatly,probably takes a few attempts before coming on.I know its the avg spyware stoping aol because if i deactivate it oal works immediatly,anyone help

You should be able to add AOL programs to the exception list in AVG, although im not sure where that is, a member of the security team will probably know.

Also are you using the "Free" version of Avg as the "exception list", is not available in the Free version.

This is key. AVG and AOL have been at it like cats and dogs for as long as I can remember.AOL uses it's own virus scanner, AVG cannot scan that part of your system, so there is really no way around this yet.

If push comes to shove, and you are using the free version, you may want to take a look at avast free edition; pretty solid, and I don't think it causes any conflicts with AOL.

Thanks for all who haved posed,I do have the paid avg full anti virus.In fact before i purchased that i had the full FREE TRIAL avg and i had no ploblem with that,strange
