Default Replacement for SpySweeper?

Ok I've got a few pretty bad infections on my laptop so I was trying to go through the prework, but when I got to SpySweeper I found that they no longer offer it for free. It scans it but to remove the infections I have to pay like $30 (which I know is unneccessary) so which program would you suggest in its place? My main infection is purityscan, which I havent been able to get rid of with either AdAware or ewido.

Yup, looks like they finally removed the free trial version.. I'll have to get a decent replacement for it.

For now, try this:

Download " SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition" from this link:
SUPERAntiSpyware.com - Downloads

Install and update the scanner.
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by rebooting your pc and hitting F8 just before windows loads.

Start the scanner, click "Scan your computer", mark the drives that you want to scan (in the left window). Select "Perform Complete Scan" (in the right window). Click "next"

The scanner will now start to scan. As soon as it has finished, you should mark everything that is found, and let the scanner fix it.

Reboot your computer. After reboot, open the scanner again. Click "preferences"-> "stastics/logs". Mark the log. Click "View log", and copy the content of this log into your next reply.

And for the Purity infection:

First look in your add/remove programs for any of these:

Oin
OuterInfo
Yazzle by OIN
Cowabanga by OIN
PuritySCAN By OIN
Snowballwars by OIN
ipwins
Zolero
Tizzletalk
MediaTickets
Forethought
Quicklinks
PSLister
or anything similar with Oin or Outerinfo in it.

If any of those names are found, click on it, and click remove.
Reboot and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan

If not listed, download and run this uninstaller:
http://www.outerinfo.com/OiUninstaller.exe
Tutorial for the uninstaller if needed:
Uninstaller
Reboot when done and delete this folder if found:
C:\Program Files\PurityScan
