Default [Answered] Aureate Spyware Removal

Using XP SP2 OS

Ad-Aware shows a file, Aureate, that should be removed. However, when I remove it, my program CuteFTP which I use to update a website will not load, with the message, "advert.dll missing". I then have to reload the program to get it to work. Is there a way to eliminate this conflict?

Thanks for any help.

Hya leeranger.

You could either set Ad Aware to ignore the detection, or use a different app then Cuteftp. Maybe one of the free apps from here?

Aureate is bundled with Cuteftp, see here for more info on it:

PS, maybe there is an option to not install the Aureate Media Corporation software, or 'sponsered' software when installing Cuteftp?
