Spyware / AdWare - [Answered] Lavasoft - Ad-aware posted in the Security & Safety forums; Hi, How many version is there for Ad-aware? Because there is this thing called Ad-aware 6.0 pro or something. But isn't Ad-aware on version 1.06? Thanks in advance....

Hi,


How many version is there for Ad-aware? Because there is this thing called Ad-aware 6.0 pro or something. But isn't Ad-aware on version 1.06?

Ad-A-ware is fairly old now, been around for many a year. It most certainly is around version 6 now.

Allow me to clear up this confusion.

Adaware SE Personal, which is the free version of Adaware, is currently at version 1.06.

Adaware Pro, which is the paid version of Adaware, is currently at version 6.0 though.

None of the above actually.

After Ad-Aware 6.0 came a newer version out called Ad-Aware SE ("second edition" I think..), They started counting again from 1.0 and are now at 1.06r1 if I'm correct. That goes for the Personal and the Pro version.

So the latest is Ad-Aware SE 1.06r1

@Henry, that link you posted is from May 2004.
